GLASS OCEAN & OPUS OF A MACHINE Announce ‘Glass Opus’ Co-Headline Tour

After an epic run on the Australian Progfest tour sharing stages alongside the likes of The Ocean (Germany), Monuments (UK), Skyharbor (India/USA) and many more, Sydney’s Glass Ocean and Brisbane’s prog-quartet, Opus Of A Machine hit the road together again in November/December for a co-headline tour.

Boasting maturity beyond their years, and earning a reputation as a must see live act with their modern take on late 90’s progressive pop sugar-coated with a subtle hint of pure and incorruptible sensuality, Glass Ocean are one of Australia’s most prominent up and coming acts.

The band have been locked away in the studio for the past two years completing their debut record with producer Chris Blancato (Northlane), and will be previewing new tracks from the new record for fans ahead of it’s 2020 release as well has crowd favourites.

Having released two critically acclaimed EP’s and a few impressive music videos including their clip for ‘Light Of The Moon‘ clocking up over 80,000 views on YouTube, Glass Ocean have gone onto support high profile acts such as Wolfmother, Anathema (UK), Seether (South Africa), TesseracT (UK), The Ocean (Germany), Monuments (UK), Skyharbor (India/Usa), Northlane, Sleepmakeswaves, Caligula’s Horse, & Closure In Moscow as well as appearing on Progfest 2019.

Glass Ocean’s frontman Tobias Atkins also recently performed a very intimate acoustic set on the Sydney leg of the Caligula’s Horse tour last month and left the audience speechless with his emotional power.

Atkins says of the tour; ‘Upon finishing our album we are so excited to stretch our legs and share these songs with everybody. Touring with Opus of A Machine has been a pipe dream for a while and now we finally get to do it. Expect high energy from both bands as we take our performance and music to a new and exciting place”.

After a momentous run of Australian and New Zealand shows with Monuments (UK) and Progfest earlier this year in support of their latest album Stray FireOpus of A Machine return to the road in full force to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of their critically acclaimed debut album Simulacra

Known for pushing the creative boundaries of alternative, progressive rock by combining the experimental nature of the genre’s foundation with an electro, pop edge. Technical wizardry meets emotional introspection with pumping synths and skyscraping melodies all pinned down by a rock solid groove.

Following the departure of founding member Dale Prinsse (now with Caligula’s Horse) earlier this year, this tour will also see the live debut of new bass player Alex Nisiriou (Chronolyth) for three unforgettable nights. Alex brings with him an unparalleled level of skill, precision and pounding groove that has transformed the sound of Opus of a Machine to grand heights.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Seether, Caligula’s Horse, Twelve Foot Ninja, Voyager, Klone and Alithia, Opus Of A Machine’s live show is one of stirring dynamics chaotic energy and unabashed positivity.

The band are currently hard at work on their as-yet-untitled follow-up to Stray Fire and will be performing some brand new songs from it on this tour, making Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne the first cities to hear what’s in store for the next chapter of the band!

Opus of A Machine’s drummer, Trevor Gee, states: ‘We couldn’t be more excited to be showing off the next evolution of our sound and live show for these three nights. Alex has brought with him
a vibrant new energy that we’re carrying into our new music, and on top of that to be bringing back some old favourites from the first era of the band feels great!’

Be sure to come and witness one of the best nights of Australian progressive music this year !!!
