DANKO JONES – Brisbane, Australia 6th September 2019
Canadian rock trio Danko Jones, has returned to make some noise in Australia for the first time in 15 years. Armed with an exhilarating show and their awesome new album ‘A Rock Supreme’.
Their action-packed live concert at ‘The Zoo’ on Friday had the crowd experiencing a flood of emotions as they laughed, cheered and pumped their fists. Danko’s charisma was electric and from the moment they entered, had captivated the entire room with quirky jokes, infectious personalities and eccentric antics.
As the stage lit up and they began to pump out favorites such as ‘First Date’ and ‘Full of Regret’, the band kicked the show straight into gear with bassist John Calabrese’s energetic stage presence, drummer Rich Knox’s hard-hitting dynamic, and Danko not only absolutely owning his guitar, but also throwing out vocals that would make your ears orgasm.
The three fused rock’n’roll with elements of punk and metal, creating a tight full sound that had their fans singing along with every anthem and screaming for more. Combine this with (playfully) teasing the techs, humorous stories, jumping up on speakers and just an over-all extremely entertaining performance…. And there you have it, the total rock concert experience!
Many magazines and reviews state “Danko Jones is a must see” and they are 100% right. The band was fun and lively, the music had everyone hooked and the whole night was a smash. Highly recommend grabbing the album and seeing these guys live. Shout out to Danko Jones and all involved for an awesome night!
