“Being able to
present a night such as CVLTFEST is one of the most rewarding things we’ve felt we’ve ever been
able to do as a band. Being in a position to welcome some of our favourite acts
from around the world to all share a stage with us in one mega night of
incredible music feels so special to us.
Our first CVLTFEST in 2022 was a day we still remember as clear as day, everyone walked away from that day with a smile on their face, everything from the amazing acts that performed to the amazing local stalls, showcasing everything that Australia and the world has to offer for all faces that support alternative music.
In 2024 we wanted to offer something new by bringing it to a brand new location, a place that has always felt as our second home being Brisbane, QLD. Everything that made CVLTFEST great the first time will be returning as well as much more, we can’t believe the world class acts that were happy to jump onboard and the amazing lineup we were able to curate, this day will be one that will get talked about for years to come as “that show”
We love playing at home and we can’t wait to bring everyone a show that will be unforgettable as well as getting to watch all the talented acts both locally and worldwide that will be performing for you, this is CVLTFEST and it’s going to be one to remember for decades.” says Alpha Wolf.
The road has been far from easy for Alpha Wolf but they refuse to let anything stand in their way. Throughout the chaotic and turbulent times of the pandemic, the band released their sophomore album A Quiet Place To Die in 2020 to critical acclaim, including a #6 spot on the ARIA charts and a nomination for Best Heavy Album at the ARIA awards, multiple sold out shows around Australia, Europe, UK, USA & Asia, the band are currently on their biggest North American run to date with Motionless in White.
Launching CVLTFEST in 2022, Alpha Wolf aimed to showcase the best Australian talent in the scene, while also featuring some exciting international acts, amalgamating a sweltering heavy lineup under the Alpha Wolf CVLT brand. A breath of fresh air, both in style and scale, the return of the CVLTFEST experience in 2024 is an exciting addition to the Australian heavy music calendar for bands and punters alike.
Originally based in Connecticut before moving to Queens, New York, metalcore firebrands Emmure aren’t ones to mince words onstage or off. Packed with relentless, unforgiving and unstoppable beatdowns, Emmure‘s confrontational spirit and irresistible hooks have seen them tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Killswitch Engage while also releasing eight full length albums, including 2020’s Hindsight.
Forming in 2006, Japanese heavy icons Crossfaith forge metalcore, dubstep and EDM into their notoriously explosive live performances. Often described as “Slipknot tearing Prodigy limb from limb”, Crossfaith have previously toured with Bring Me The Horizon, Periphery, Enter Shikari and Architects, with their most recent album Ex Machina in 2018 further enhancing their genre-defying prowess.
Aussie Oddworld heroes Ocean Grove continue to be a “must see” band, with their fusion of alt rock, nu metal, grunge and hooks constantly enamouring fans at home and overseas. With three technicolour albums under their belts, most recently Up In The Air Forever (2022), Ocean Grove also recently unveiled their own signature ODDWORLD 3000 sneaker, bringing to literal life their recent album artwork.
Erupting onto the scene in early 2020 with their debut EP Happy Talk, Japan’s Paledusk have become instant heavy favourites courtesy of their combination of metalcore, industrial, nu-metal and electronic elements. With their Australian connection intensified via tours with Alpha Wolf, Polaris and The Amity Affliction, Paledusk will return down under again in 2024 alongside some new music on the horizon.
Founded in 2020 with a vow to channel uncompromising, raw emotions, France’s ten56. weaves dark sounds churned through an industrial machine; a mix of attitude, anxiety and industrialism rolled into one angry package. For those who have wondered what the apocalypse sounds like ten56. have you covered, with their most recent album Downer providing the perfect end of the world soundtrack.
Hauling from the quiet town of Taree in New South Wales, Diamond Construct are anything but subdued, with their metalcore-meets-djent and fresh modernity providing an unforgettable concoction that takes on new life in a live setting. From touring alongside Justice For The Damned, Alpha Wolf and Thornhill to thrilling with their latest single Jynx, Diamond Construct will always leave you wanting more.
Delivering heavy riffs since 2016, Gold Coast/Brisbane hell metallers Crave Death beckon you to enter their realm of death with their relentless hardcore creations. From their debut EP, 2016’s Life After Death through to the 2023 EP Die Slow bustling with brutality, Crave Death have continuously grown their voracious sounds alongside performances with the likes of Knocked Loose and Alpha Wolf.
Delving into all facets of the heavier genres since their inception, Newcastle’s Vilify cleave darkness into their own signature style that has seen them share stages over the years with the likes of Northlane, ERRA, Void of Vision and Paledusk. Forming during the pandemic, Vilify‘s debut EP Clarity in 2020 set the scene for incredible things to come; including a brand new EP on the horizon in 2024.
A band who certainly don’t do anything in halves and continuing to push boundaries, CVLTFEST continues the Alpha Wolf legacy of championing and showcasing their own insatiable sonic wares as well as those at home and abroad. Heavy music Christmas has come early in 2024
