BUCKCHERRY / HARDCORE SUPERSTAR – Brisbane, Australia 12th October 2019
If you haven’t seen Hardcore Superstar or Buckcherry Live, you’re missing out! Both of these legendary bands graced ‘The Zoo’ in Brisbane with their presence on Saturday night, as part of a 20 year reunion tour and packed out the entire house.
After a great performance by opening act ‘Bad Moon Born’, ‘Hardcore Superstar’ lit up the stage with full force and an absolutely electric presence. The Swedish born classic metal band never fail to entertain, with a performance that went from speaker top screams and a room of middle fingers, to throwing up the Mic stand and hanging from the rafters.
These boys know how to get a crowd pumped and had everyone singing along to every hit, including ‘You can’t kill my Rock’n’Roll’. HCSS finished the set with a fun gimmick, which had the roadie start to dismantle the equipment as the band played on. Climbing the ladders to continue to shred and playing half assembled kits, as they powered on and rocked out ‘Above The Law’, leaving the entire room screaming for more!
As Buckcherry hit the stage, the crowd went wild as the band jumped around the stage and a shirtless Josh Todd slammed out all the favourites, including ‘Crazy Bitch’, ‘Sorry’ and ‘Too Drunk’. The venue was packed to the rafters with ecstatic fans in Buckcherry Tshirts singing the anthems, and throwing their horns in the air.
These Californian hard rockers put on a highly entertaining show full of attitude and energy with ripping solos, an epic light show, awesome rock’n’roll antics, fun banter and even a crazy mash up of footloose. Buckcherry sounded as crisp as ever and brought life the stage as everyone there soaked up every minute of the performance.
After all these years and many albums, both Buckcherry and Hardcore Superstar are still blowing us away and keeping us totally engaged. These bands were incredible to see live and this show was absolutely rockin. We wish the guys best of luck on the rest of their tour, and can’t wait to see them again next time!
